Chemo SmartBook receives "Top Innovation - Health Authority" Excellence in BC Health Care Award

Presented by the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC), the Excellence in BC Health Care Awards recognize the efforts of health care employees who provide quality care and support to the people of this province and acknowledge excellence and innovation in publicly funded health care.

Chemo SmartBook, the innovative new scheduling system developed by our team received on June 20th 2011 the "Top Innovation - Health Authority" award.

This award is for a project, initiative or best practice by one of BC’s six health authorities that has brought fresh ideas, ingenuity or superior problem-solving skills to the health field. These new ideas or methods have resulted in positive and lasting change, making the top innovation a model for others to follow. The innovation has changed practices or uncovered the best methods to approach a task, demonstrated tangible results and continually seeks to improve work being done in the health sector. Whether the ideas involve large projects or small systems, the innovation brings new excellence to the sector.
